In 1917, Russian Communists believed that a democractic state was the inevitable aftermath of the revolution. This transitional state was ‘necessary’ to move towards Socialism. They therefore looked to the Middle Class (mc) to form a Government.

Today, Working Class power is at a historic low. Ironically, the collapse of jobs due to automation looks like it will greatly affect such occupations as accountancy. This is likely to cause deep problems for the mc. To protect their childrens’ lives,  they will push for social and political change. They currently have the ‘class power’ to be effective.
